A major cause of drug-drug interactions is cytochrome P450 induction, where the metabolism of one drug is enhanced as a result of another co-administered drug. An additional common cause of these interactions is the inhibition of the metabolic decay of a drug caused by another co-administered drug. We will soon be able to offer CYP induction and inhibition studies.
